Dr. Will is a highly accomplished PT who is also an EverstrongSF trainee. He has offered to bring his passion for health and wellness and 10 years of experience directly to EverstrongSF!


His style is a perfect fit with EverStrongSF’s fitness model. His primary method of treatment is utilizing the techniques of the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) which is world renown for its high level of efficiency and success in treating the source and cause of musculoskeletal injuries through pattern recognition and corrective exercises. Dr. Will is one of only 200 clinicians worldwide who has achieved PRI’s highest level of certification. He has also gone through extensive credentialing in manual therapy, orthopedic medicine, and strength and conditioning.

Dr. Will's Profile:


Dr. Will Waterman, PT, DPT, PRC, OCS, COMT, CSCS obtained his credentialing through Postural Restoration Institute (PRC) in 2017 after years of extensive studying and practice while working for Stanford Health Care in Portola Valley and Redwood City. Just after this in 2018, Dr. Will achieved completion of the prestigious Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification from the American Physical Therapy Association, demonstrating extensive knowledge in the treatment of orthopedic injuries. Prior to this, he went through training to become a Silver Level Bike Fitter through Bike PT's Professional Education Program. Before moving to the Bay Area in 2014, Dr. Will worked for 5 years in Chicago, Illinois for NovaCare Rehabilitation at Depaul University's Athletic Department as the primary physical therapist for their Division-1 athletes. He also worked at various outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Chicago area, specializing primarily in the treatment of recreation and endurance athletes. It was here that he went through a year-long intensive manual therapy program through the Ola Grimsby Institute to obtain his Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT). During this time he also obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.


He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010 from Armstrong Atlantic State University in consortium with Medical College of Georgia. Prior to this, he graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science.


Dr. Will is passionate about the rehab methods, techniques, and science promoted by the Postural Restoration Institute. He utilizes these techniques in all of his treatments. He specializes in the treatment of chronic and acute conditions affecting the jaw, neck, lumbar spine, hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle.


As a person obsessed with human movement, he has participated in numerous sports and athletic endeavors over his lifetime. Currently, he competes in Triathlon at the national level but has competed or trained in Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, basketball, football, baseball, and swimming. He and his wife are originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
